Entries:                       Via NCHSAA standard form entry. FAX to me by Noon, Friday, October 21st. We will not use Direct Athletics for the Regional Meet this Fall.

Entry Deadline:          Friday, October 22nd at Noon.

Course:                       The now classic Jackson Park double loop configuration used for the Western North Carolina Cross Country Carnival and 2004 & 2001 West Regional. The course does contain a few very short stretches of pavement. If course is dry, regular racing flats or very short spikes are recommended.

Race Info:                  Please visit the Roberson web site (www.robersoncc.com) for updated race information.

T-shirts:                      Provided by the NCHSAA will be for sell at the Meet. Please pass the word along to the kids. We typically get the shirts delivered to us about 2 days before the Meet (they come from the NCHSAA – we have to sell them – we have no choice! The NCHSAA sets the price also.). But generally, they do look pretty good and go fast.

Parking:                      Henderson County Parks and Recreation officials are requesting we use the “main” parking area this year instead of the lot in front of the Parks and Rec. building. This gives us more space for the buses and close proximity to a picnic shelters that have bathrooms.

Directions:                  From Interstate 26 – Take exit 49 (highway 64). Go towards downtown Hendersonville. At the 7th light (just over 1.5 miles from I-26), take a left (there’s a small Jackson Park sign). Go 2 blocks and take another left (again, there will be a small sign). This takes you into the Park. See parking above.

For teams arriving from the South, please use the south entrance to Jackson Park. Directions are as follows:

From Interstate 26 – take exit 53 (Upward Road). Go towards Hendersonville/Flat Rock 1.4 miles. Take right at 176 (major intersection at Super Ingles Grocery Store). Go 1.4 miles. Take right on Glover Street (there are a couple of small, brown Jackson Park signs before this turn). Go 0.7 miles into South entrance of Jackson Park (note – Glover Street is a small, residential road).

Thanks:                      Tim Hopkin at Henderson County Parks and Recreation. Tim manages Jackson Park and is seeking this type of activity for the Park. The guy loves Cross Country! He has been completely accommodating with the organization of this race. Jackson Park and Henderson County Parks and Recreation rocks!
