NCHSAA 4A State Championships

RESULTS

Boys team:  10th place

The guy’s ran the 14th fastest team time in school history with a top-5 average of 16:49.2.  Paul Kovach (16:38), Alex Zorich (16:39), River Gordon (16:43), Charles Harpe (PR of 16:58), and Jesse Kovacs (PR of 17:06) scored for the team.

Girls team:  6th place

Lily Anderson runs PR of 18:24, Anastasia Soule (19:47), Casey Greenwalt (19:47), and Lauren Hartmann (PR of 19:55) round out the top 5 with a team average of 19:13.7 (the 14th best ever in NCHSAA State Meet history)

This was the fastest girls State Meet ever held in North Carolina as 75 girls finished under 20 minutes, 35 of those were under 19:10 … far more than any previous State Cross Country Championship in North Carolina.

* Earning All-State for all four years has been accomplished by just 24 girls in the 32 year history of NCHSAA Cross Country… in all classifications.   Caroline Kirby (2004 – 2007) and Jennifer (Kelley) Sadler (1998 – 2001) are the two other TC Roberson runners to do this.  This is a remarkable achievement.
