Teams:                   We have reached our 42 team threshold and have started a waiting list for Team entries.

An updated list of accepted teams is posted on our website.       Check this list to verify your entry.


This is a sanctioned event for bordering states competition (NC, SC, and TN), all 3 states have approved.



      • The Championship Races will be limited to 8 runners per team
      • The Invite races will be limited to 7 runners per team.
      • There will be a limit of (10) runners per school in the Individual Races. 
      • The 3K races are intended for athletes who are new to the sport or boys who would likely be over 25 minutes and girls who would likely be over 30 minutes for a 5K race. There is a limit of (10) runners per school in the 3K races.


A school may participate in multiple events.  For example, top 8 boys in “Championship, 7 boys in  the “Invite,” 10 boys  in “Individual Race,” and others in the 3K race.  


Runners can compete in only one event and should report to the start line 10 minutes prior to the start of their race.


Entry Fee:             $80 per school (boys & girls teams), $40 if only boys or $40 if only girls teams are entered, $20 for an individual

($80 entry for a school covers all boys and girls, regardless of number of races entered or number of athletes. Individuals must represent their school).

Entry Process:     Entries for team rosters will be via Direct Athletics (www.directathletics.com).  Race designation is not declared on Direct Athletics but you must register the names of the athletes who will be participating.

(You do not have to declare athletes names specifically to a race, just have them report to the start line for the event you want them to run.  Their assigned race number will identify what school they are running for and we will use that for race results.)

NOTE:  Our Direct Athletics account is open. 

Roster entry deadline will be August 18, 2013 at 3:00pm.  Only enter athletes who will participate and only enter your roster if you are listed on the accepted teams list.



Course:                 The classic Jackson Park double loop configuration. The course does contain a few short stretches of pavement. Regular racing flats or very short spikes are recommended for dry conditions.  (The 3K race will be one loop)


Awards:                 Individual awards will be given to the top 10 finishers in each 5K race.  Team awards will be given to the top 2 teams in Championship and Invite Races.


T-Shirts:               We will have race t-shirts for sale …. at a reasonable price.   Jus Running will be on site to sell shoes and running gear.
